First Look: Gant by Michael Bastian Fall 2012
New York Fashion Week officially begins tomorrow, but we asked some of our favorite designers to share a preview sketch/inspiration/first look from their fall collection. Here’s what you can expect from Gant by Michael Bastian in the designer’s own words:
“The fall 2012 season is based on my own personal memories and experiences in Boston when I went to college there. Boston is a preppy city, and I was a very preppy business school student. But back in the ’80s there was this amazing mod scene going on, and me and a lot of my college friends really got into it. Mod and preppy overlap more than one would think, and it ended up in a very collegiate look, but with a cool edge mixed in there.”
