5x7: Hooman Majd
All throughout NYFW, we’re talking to five of New York City’s sharpest show-goers.
"I look at accessories every day: Obviously I have my beard, my glasses, and a tattoo of my daughter’s drawing. I have my things. Then I wear either a coat, my biker jacket, or a blazer. So I’m very straightforward, in my way of dressing."
"I’ve been going to shows probably for like nine or ten years now. The thing I miss most is just going to other people’s shows. Now I never get to go out and see anybody else’s presentation because I’m so crazed with ours. It’s a bummer."
"My style is definitely a happy medium between dressy and comfortable. You want to look good, and it’s my business to look professional. There’s a time for cool pieces, though, so I try to sneak in as many as possible. Definitely don’t want to be too serious."
"I grew up in Canada, but I’ve been living in London for the last eleven years. I guess what I bring to Fashion Week is a bit of European flavor. It’s tough to think about it individually, when we all contribute."
"Brand is not just about the product, it’s also about the culture." - Johan Lindeberg
