Sneaker of the Week
Our resident sneaker expert Brian Coats is feeling these Barker Black hi tops:

“Barker Black has been crafting some of the sharpest, (and best-constructed), dress shoes around since the 1880s. These days, they’re best known for their perfect kick of attitude. For instance, creative director Derrick Miller is known for crafting his signature brogues with skulls and crossbones on the toes. Lately he’s tried his hand at sneakers like these orange hi-tops that have the same feel. They’re a little rock ‘n roll and made to last, like all things Barker Black.”

Sneaker of the Week: K-Swiss Court LA ‘66
I’ve always loved K-Swiss—and, of course, their classic white shoe is already iconic, so no need to push that on you—but these new suede babies are amazing. I love that they’re modified lace-ups made to look like slip-ons. It’s a kind of an East Coast version of a skate shoe you might see out in Montauk. Since falling off my skateboard in 5th grade and being hurled against a tool shelf in the garage, I may just wear them walking the streets of NYC—or, of course, when I’m in LA and ready to “hold court.”—Brian Coats
$90, available at kswiss.com.
